100% waterproof and breathable pant with laser cut removable back leg straps for full adjustability and control of fit. The pants have two zippered hand pockets, a zippered back pocket and fly, and a grosgrain drawcord inside the waist and hem. Roomy workwear fit.
For our first 3L laminate pieces, we have developed a special fabric in collaboration with Dimpora AG, a Swiss Textile lab. This next generation of outdoor membranes contain no PFC’s and no forever chemicals, all whilst retaining full waterproofness and breathability. The fabric is backed with a nylon tricot mesh for durability.
The layered fabric construction resembles vernacular architecture, such as adobe or cob building where each substrate, with its own repellent, thermal or aesthetic job, compounds to create a solid boundary, sealed for longevity. The polymer membrane keeps water out and lets air in through its biomimetic pores; a breathing and perspiring threshold like our own skin.
The face fabric is Irish Linen which has been cultivated and manufactured in this tradition for thousands of years. Though produced on a mechanical loom, this plain weave replicates prehistoric flax weaving made with the hands.
The pieces are assembled in Scotland in the factory credited with the invention of the seam sealing machine, who also produce high performance waterproof uniforms for rescue and emergency services.
